About Us

The Carless Family Foundation was born from a moment of urgency and love. In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, a devastating Category 5 storm that tore through Jamaica in 2025, grandchildren of Evelyn Carless immediately came together to coordinate relief and recovery efforts. What began as an idea to send supplies and support families in need has evolved into a vision for something bigger, a family-led foundation dedicated to strengthening Jamaica’s future.

Guided by family, faith, and legacy, the Foundation will invest in education, health, livelihoods, and digital access to help communities rebuild stronger and thrive for generations to come. Rooted in family and focused on impact, the Carless Family Foundation unites Jamaicans at home and abroad in service to the island that raised us.

“Honoring our grandmother’s journey by giving back to the island that raised us.”
